Spring Sparkles

As we've had some nice days with a warming sun this is really what's needed!!

This is no 81 from Isadora, Spring Sparkles. I got this one early 2011 and I really like it. It is a fine silver glitter that works on most polishes, dark and light.

I used it on Fab Jean from last post to make it pop a bit a few days from painting.... I also put it on Depend 261 (which you'll see soon...) to give you some sort of idea of what it looks on a lighter polish.

It you want to see more of it you tell me and I'll make you a post!

Hope you enjoyed!

Fab Jean

This time I'm showing off Fab Jean by Kicks (our local beauty-chain)  I've shown you Electic Blues, Smokey Tuxedo and Evening at Chateau Mamont already and this is the last one I got from this brand.

It is a dark blue polish with a light blue shimmer. It goes on well and the coverage is good in two coats. The only negative thing about this one is the brush. It had one straw that was bent and longer than the others.... easy to fix, but should not be there in the first place!

The two middle photos are more color correct and the all show the shimmer.... I like this jeans colored polish, it looked just great on me!

Hope you enjoyed!

Smokey Tuxedo

Surprise, surprise, another blue! This one might me my favorite dark blue so far. It's by Kicks and it's a midnight blue with a nice lighter blue shimmer. I felt like having something that stood out a bit after the soft baby pink..... I had to do 3 coats of this because it is kind of sheer. I started out with 2 coats, but decided on three after a day. I found it quite hard to put on because the brush made it a bit uneven (also a reason for 3 coats) and the brush is tiny since the bottle is only .2 oz (8 ml)

You get both hands today b/c my left thumb is hurt... the salad bowl broke and it cut me right at the cuticle! Treating it with lots of love and moister hoping for it to heal quickly.

Hope you enjoyed!

Kicks "Evening at Chateau Marmont"

Yay, my computer are back, and so am I!

I'm starting off by showing you what I wore for my trip to Amsterdam. This is "Evening at Château Marmont" by Kicks. It look like spilled oil in the bottle, but more gold when it gets on your nails.
These photos are taken at Arlanda Airport, because I didn't have the time at home!

This actually made it through a whole week, with some tip wear. The formula is really thin, so you might need 3 to 4 coats to make it really opaque.

I'm not really sure that I like the color, I think I need to wear it one more time to make up my mind!

I still have a lot of things to photograph, especially under my new daylight bulb..... so look out for more posts! A post on Amsterdam is coming up on my regular blog if you're interested.

I hope you enjoyed!

Display fan - news

I've decided to abandon the nailwheels for the display fan.... It's a lot easier to show whole collections and swatches of my new polishes this way. You'll probably see the wheels anyway on some occations!

Today the swatches of my KleanColor polishes is up, as well as three new Isadora and a couple of Kicks.

The photos are taken inside and I could not find a decent light in our apartment.... I'll try to get some better photos when the sun comes out in about 4-5 months time...

Hope you enjoyed!

This week I also came across these beauties....

Starstruck

Since I really love blue I grabbed hold of one of my favorite shades, Elecric Blues from Kicks. This one is gorgeous on its own, but I wanted something more and found myself with some extra time on my hands....

I used Isadora Blue Jeans for stamping with Bundle Monster plate 220 and put a blue rhinestone in the center of the biggest star. It's not showing in these photos, but the stamping and rhinestone is a bit hard to see which makes it suttle and gives it dimension.

For all of you who follows my blog: This weekend I'm doing a major update on my collection and tags.... much needed for you to find your favorites.

Hope you enjoyed!

Haul!!

Well... I thought I'd buy more polishes when I was away to a really big mall this weekend, but sadly I came home with only 4 and one is "Start to Finish" by Kiss. The other three is a ridge filler from Kubiss and a black and a white shimmer from Claudia. To the left is "Glistening Snow" and to the right "Glamorous Black"

Yesterday I went to my local Kicks-boutique and looked for the new Depend collection for fall, but the had their delivery today and wasn't done unpacking it yet... so nothing this time, I'll have to check again tomorrow. I did purchase to of their own polishes just to try them out. The left is "Fab Jean" and to the right is "Electric Blues"

At Ullared I also bought some nail sticker, a buffer, cuticle balm and the above mentioned "Start 2 Finish" but I think those picture are plain boring......
