Stripers

As I already had Silver Sparkles on, I decided to put on the different color stripers just to show you...

This time it is a regular black one from Lovie (no2) that is a bit tricky to paint with, I had to redo my pinky... And the other one is a really sheer pink one by Depend called 1070.

Dolce Vita

I'm really starting to enjoy painting my nails in these bright pink/red shades and this pink creme is just perfect! It's called Dolce Vita (617) by Isadora. It's not really baby pink, but just a tad bit darker. It has the wide brush and is really easy to paint with. Well, let's see....

And to show you how easy you can switch up a plain color I played with a couple of my stripers... A pink glitter by Lovie and a silver Art Liner 1060 by Depend.

Week 4 - Plaid mani

This is a theme that I've done a couple of times before but I'm trying out a different look now. I've already done a purple and a green/blue (you can see pictures below).

This time I gave the easy way some more thought, and did a couple of tests... and this is how it looks!

I used Depend 198 for base and then Depend 1067 for the pink stripes and the Lovie striper I'm holding for the glitter stripes. I'm not really satisfied with the outcome since I managed to wobble when I did the stripes! Otherwise this is a great look! I also wanted to show you some of my old "plaid" manis....

Birthday Mani!!

I actually did make a tape mani for my birthday party. It took me 3 hours in the middle of the night to do this with all the drying times and everything.... and yet it is a mess! Thought I'd share anyway!

The base is Isadora Glamour White (649) and the pink glitter is Lovie Art Nail. The necklace I'm holding is also a gift from my dear friend Linda!! The dress had a similar patter and I wanted them to match!

Sea waves

This is St Lucia Blue Sea with some swirls on it.....

The swirls are done with Lovie Art Nail in black and pink glitter.

Enclosed dots

Since the Rose Powder was not a match to my skintone i decided to style it a bit and wear it for a day or to anyway... to see if I could change my mind.... I didn't.... But I'll show you the nailart anyways!

I used my Lovie and Depend art liners to do the lines and the dots are made with the Depend artliner polish and a dotting tool... First I thought of doing a copy of the Movie Flares, but you've already seen that, so I changed it a tad bit!

Zebra stripes (or birch)

As usual I get bored with just a plain color on my nails and this time I was on my way to go shopping with my mom and aunts so I wanted to spice Depend 38 up a bit. It is a very easy thing to do, but i looks a bit more fun than plain nail. It was actually my boyfriend that saw this in a movie hi was watching and wanted me to do it...

I chose to take my black striper from Lovie, just to make it even more easy! Then just swipe it to create the stripes.... You probably want to do equal amounts of stripes on your nails... I was in a hurry, and didn't really care.....

I actually only wore this for one day, then I changed it for the celebration of the saint Valborg (the link is for a Swedish page and unfortunately not available in English) and dinner at our friends house. A post on that is coming up....

Movie flares

Even though "Not like the movies" is a pretty polish in it self.... I got bored! So, for my nieces birthday last monday I fixed them up with some flares.

I used my Lovie artliner and the dots are Depend 223 (silver) and 224 (gold). This made it look a bit more alive and fun! I'll give you a couple of angels just to show the base color and it's diversity.

I made three flares with my striper, all starting at the middle of my nail to create this design. Then I grabbed the silver and gold polishes and my dotting tool. You can use a toothpick or anything that gives you the possibility to make small dots. I put  three silver dots between the top two flares and three gold dots between the second and third flare. On top I put one coat of Seche Vite and it was dry in an instant without ruining the design!

Ok, I have for a long time wanted to show you pictures of my stuff but have not been able to until now. It's not much, but enough to work with! Please ask if there anything you're wondering about.

My polishes stands in the lid from another box that fits perfectly. The round bottles in the bottom right corner is some acrylic paint that I'm experimenting with.
