Smokey Grey

As I said somewhere along the way, black is not just black, we got fifty or more shades in between!

This is one of them. Called Smokey Grey (65) it is a dusty shade of grey and it covered in two coats. When I was painting a saw a tendency to blue in the brush but it didn't show up on the nails.

Depend 6007

Another gray magnetic. This one is only gray in two shades and it had no shimmer in it.Nice anyway if you want a nice effect on your nails!

Depend 6000

Just to keep the summer present for just a while longer I decided to present the Magnetic Collection from Depend that came out in summer of 2012. Earlier you've seen 6001, 6005 and 6011. Now the others will follow starting off with no 6000. This was before Depend started to name their special polishes.

This one has a green base and when you pus the magnet on it you get nice stripes and a green shimmer!

I played a bit with the magnet on this one, but then decided that horizontal lines gives the best result! Can you see that shimmer? It's gorgeous!

About the formula it's a bit sheer, as you can see my nail through the polish. I put one thin coat on and let it dry, the another coat and the magnet. You really should have two thin coats dry before you use the magent on the third coat. It will give a better result.

Gray's Anatomy

This is one of my first duo-chrome polishes. It's by Wet'n'Wild and is called Gray's Anatomy (237C) like the series and it shifts from gray to purple and green. I didn't do a very good job taking the photos, I only managed to get the purple look this time....

In the third photo you can se a hint of the green in the polish :)

Cloudy days

As I promised, the stamping on yesterdays swatch....

This on is stamped with Depend 223, a silver metallic, and Bundle Monster plate BM312 (the cloud pattern) This time I only did my thumb and ringfinger because my time was running out. It would have been awesome to have this on all 10!

The last photos are taken inside under our chili growlamp... we already have red chilis ready to eat!

Depend 286

A greyish white with the mandatory shimmer that categorizes this X-mas collection of 2011. I like this shade because it is light grey and easier to wear the off white. I also found it a nice base for stamping, which I'll show you tomorrow!

Graphite gray with, surprise (!), shimmer in it! A nice, chic shade that is easy to wear but still gives something with the shimmer.

Depend Magnetic

I just have to give you an extra post today!!

As I'm on my way to my niece I promised her to show off the new magnetic polishes from Depend so this morning I painted my nails and I LOVE IT!!! They are easy to apply and a strong magnet that does the work really quick! This one is number 6005, a gray/black with multi glitter.

For now this is the style of magnet they got, but I really hope they can come up with more designs! Now I really need the other colors too....

Week 18 - Cartoon Mani

I had to really think this one through and found out that I really don't have a favorite cartoon.... Instead I'm really into games and went back thinking about what my favorites are... and found this....

This is a game I played in my early teens in the nineties... Suplaplex! I don't know if any of you recognize it, but I really loved it and I'm pleased to be able to play it again even though it's quite old by now! I chose to practice my freehand for this and picked out a couple of icons from the game....

On my thumb you can see Supaplex himself, like a red kind of Pacman. On my index you have the evil scissor.... kind of like the ghosts in Pacman but they really follow you around fast! On my middle finger is the things you're supposed to collect. On the ring finger I have a diskette of the old kind. This yellow one is for blowing up stones. The pinky motive is the exit sign you have to locate to exit the level.

I've used both polish and acrylics for this one, the background colors are all Depend (Orange 242, Green 289 and black 39. The Blue is Wet'n'Wild Saved by the Blue, the gray is Depend 285 and the turqoise is Isadora Turquoise 114. The rest is acrylics.

This was/is my favorite game and it probably will be for a bit longer....

Depend 301

This one tricked me a bit... When I chose it I looked at it on my display fan and I had put it in the grey section. It is gray, but not a "black" gray, but a "green" gray... It has a green tint to it. Well, it worked really well in my Skittle Mani and I really like the color. This one is also matte, but not the frosted matte like 298 and 296, but still matte.....

Just as easy to work with as the other 4.

Depend 250

I wore this one last Saturday on my stepdaughters birthday to match my outfit. It is a pretty plain gray and two coats was enough for it to look good! Really nothing special, but yet really nice.....

It worked well with my skin tone and I also managed to get a photo in the sun before the rain came..... So, this one is the last for this week, next week I'll have more of the polishes from the Depend Summer Collection 2011!

Finally here!!!

I've finally received my prize for the Depend Design-competition. My choice was to get all 12 colors of the new Summer Collection as well as their Nail & Cuticle Cleanser and some light blue loose glitter. This was really worth waiting for because the collection consists mostly of blue and green color which you by now know is what I'm always drawn to! For now you'll have to stick with some bottle photos.....
