White Dream

Also sheer? Yes, It is....

I seem to have a lot of these and I'm not quite sure what I'll do with them, we'll see!

This one also has a frosty look to it, but not as sheer as Icy Peony but you can still spot a VNL. It's called White Dream (302) from Isadora.

Icy Peony

Another sheer polish that would work great for layering!

It has a frosty finish and nice shimmer. Here I put on 2 coats and as you can see I still have a VNL. I'm not sure it will go away with more coats so I decided to let it go like this!

A very nice polish for someone who don't want to show off but still look good and feel a bit girly!

Golden Apricot

This subtle shimmering gold polish is perfect for when you need your nails to look good, but they don't need to be the center of attention! It's called Golden Apricot (161) by Isadora.

I put on 2 coats and because it's so sheer I didn't bother to try to loose the VNL, I liked it the way it looked!

Bridal Pink

Once more I try out a polish for French manicure or for a subtle shimmer.

This one is called Bridal Pink (70) by Isadora and it would be perfect at a wedding.

It shimmers a lot in the sun and looks great on it's own, it would also be perfect on top of a plain white polish.

Pearly Frost

One of my many French manicure polishes.

This one is number 103 and I chose to show it both on white and on bare nail. I also tried it on top of black, but that didn't work!

As you can see it's really sheer, but it really does make that white look a lot nicer and if you just want a nice French manicure this one is prefect!

Icy Lilacs

This one I bought for the sparkles in it!

It's called Icy Lilacs (730) from the Isadora Pearls of Passion Collection 2012 and is a light purple (lilac) with blue/purple shimmer in it. It was really sheer so I would recommend layering it on top of another polish. Here I've put three coats on...

The shimmer was hard to catch on camera but you can see a glimpse of it in the photos. I can also tell you that it made an reappearance in the 2013 summer collection, so I hope you can catch it!

Chiffon

Over to some random Isadora polishes.... starting with this sheer pink one. It's called Chiffon (44) and has a pink tint to it. I painted it on nude nails and it looks good, but I think layering it on black would be better.... Throwing in an example of that as well!

On the nailwheel you see it all alone to the left and on top of Spellbound Black that you'll see swatched in a bit...  Really looks a lot better in reality!

Yves Rocher Minis

Remember these??

Rose Reflets, Or Scintillant, Ciel Bleu, Mauve Captivant, Argent Étincelant and Fleur de Lune

I've now caught up and swatched the remaining four... First out is the white that is really sheer and has a pink shimmer to it.... a bit hard to catch but I think you'll be able to see it!

The next one is Rose Reflets, also sheer and with a purple shimmer...

Next up is Mauve Captivant which is just as sheer, but is more pigmented than the others and has a pink shimmer. I used 3 coats for this one... This is probably the one I like the most of these little ones!

The last one of these is the silver one, Argent Étincelant, a glittering silver!

2 in one go!

As I was picking out my untried Depend polishes I decided to try 2 sheer ones.... The first one looks light beige with a faint light blue shimmer. It is visible on the nail, but just in certain angels and the camera has a hard time catching it! You can see a bit of the shimmer in the first photo but othervise the look almost naked. This is Depend 129.

Since this one is almost invisible I put the next polish on top. This one is Depend 136 and it shows up more... a light light pink with shimmer and I like it! I would really recommend this if you go to a strict wedding or for work and places you can't wear really bright nail polish! You do get a VNL, but with this color it is ok....

I didn't manage to catch the sun for the last one, so I took the first two outside in daylight and the third under the daylight lamp... Worked out nice anyway!

Depend 28

As a follow up on the Tuesday post I put this next polish on top of the sheer white. This is also a sheer polish with a nice purple shimmer. On its own you only see the shimmer, but in the bottle is has a pink tint to it.

I was not sure how much of it you were going to be able to see, but it showed off pretty good even though I didn't get to catch any sunlight!

Or Scintillant

A really nice sparkling Yves Rocher mini polish! I like these polishes, even though the brush is sooo small that even with really short nails I had to dip it at least twice.... I put on two coats and it's still really sheer... you could probably get it a little more opaque with another coat, but was satisfied like this!

The handle of these mini polishes is really small and kind of hard to maneuver and the brush is also small.... I don't have a clue about how the normal size bottles are so I'm not going to say anything. I liked this one and it will be perfect to layer over something else!!

Both of the photos above is taken in bright sunlight but with different cameras. The first one with our new camera and the bottom photo with our usual compact camera..... I really like the new camera.... it gives me brighter photos and hopefully (when I learn) I will be able to give you more color correct photos!

Yves Rocher - Ciel Bleu

As the name suggests, this is a blue polish.... well, it is in the bottle and so I figured it had to go in the blue section..... The bottles looks like this:

It has a blue base that shifts into purple. Really pretty in the bottle, but on the nails it's really really sheer and is probably best for layering...... I like the color and the formula. It dries at normal speed and leaves a shimmer look. I put 2 coats on and had a really hard time catching it on a photo, but I'll show you what I got anyways....

As you can see, the blue only shows up in certain angles! The bottle is really tiny, only 0.10 fl.oz (3 ml) and so the brush is also really tiny. Despite that, it has a great maneuverability and was easy to paint with! I will definitely try this one out over, for example, a white or nude polish!
