Classic red glitter!

For this Christmas Eve I chose a classic red color with lots and lots of glitter! For the base I chose Depend 283 that has a silver shimmer in it. On top I put Gallery Colors, Red Sparkle (421). This is the finished result...

I just love it!! It makes my nails sparkle!! Sadly my cuticles looks like hell in this winter weather... cold and dry.

I want to show you how it looks outside on our balcony....

Lots of snow and icicles.... wonder what happens when the weather gets warmer :)

Hope you enjoyed and have a happy holiday!

Fantasy Fire

Finally I got round to trying this one... The purple base from yesterday is perfect as this is a real nice shimmer polish in a purple base.

It looks really good and shimmers in pink and adds a dimension to your base color. This combo is kind of bland and I need to see if I can try this out on some other base color, it might help...

It does sparkle a lot more than the photos want to show and it looks great in the sun. In all a good polish, dries fast and looks good!

Hope you enjoyed!

Week 17 - "Earth Appreciation" Mani

This is something that I have completely missed and had no idea what to do, so I just thought lets just do my Essence Nail Art Twins and I'll be fine!

This actually works really fine because I got Chuck and Blair and they get to represent the seas and stars! I got them in Amsterdam when I visited in December 2011 and haven't tried them at all.... Chuck is a really gorgeous medium dark blue that goes on nicely and I just needed one coat! Here he is on his own....
I just love the color!! And now on to the twin part - Blair! I've never been a fan of chunky glitters and this one is not a exception. I don't know why, but partly because it's really hard to get it evenly spread out and stuff.... Well, this one is at least better, but not like the micro glitter that I love! Here it is....

They look good together and I'm pleased with how it looks even though I was skeptical at first.

Hope you enjoyed!

Chunky Holo Purple

As the deep purple wasn't enough.... I topped it off with the Chunky Holo Purple (234), also from KleanColor. These to make an awesome pair and I really liked it. The only downside is the drying time.... it took forever! As you can see in the photos I had gotten a couple of dents and they kept on coming after that.... I had to redo the whole thing!  Other than that... it looks GREAT!

And I managed to get it in the last sunlight of the day!

Hope you enjoyed!

Blue anyone?

I've been meaning to try out my new Klean Color polishes ever since I got them, but there has been so much going on in my life and right about now everything is pretty calm so I took the chance! I took Metallic Aqua.... (indoor photos, no sun!)

And then, after opening my secret Santa package, I layered it with Holo Blue....

I did not find that much of "holo" in this color, more a multicolored glitter that just is amazing! I actually can't stop looking at my nails!! And as a bonus I got to take the last photos in sunlight, thank you weather! These two polishes has great formulas, the Metallic Aqua only needs one coat if your careful. The Blue Holo needs two coats and then it is gorgeous. I found the brushes to be pretty good, I had just a couple of smudges to clean up!

ps. The idea of layering this over Metallic Aqua came from Egde of Sanity! Thanx, it worked out great! ds.

Hope you enjoyed!

Depend 264

This is a nice light plum color. Just a regular creme with nice application. I took some photos both with and without adjustments on my camera.

Sun, no extra settings
Shade, no extra settings
Sun, lighter skin tone
Sun, darker skin tone and extra red.
After a day and a half I found my manicure pretty boring and decided to spice it up and I wanted sparkles!! Therefore I chose Depend 58 that has a lightly tinted base (purple) and small iridescent glitter. It look gorgeous in the sun and under a light-bulb, but at work it looked like small silver spot and no glitter at all! The below pictures are taken a day when I came home from work and pulled out my camera.... the necklace is borrowed from one of the neighbors kids....

Hope you enjoyed!

Metallic Blue

I decided to get the Bugatti Blue to sparkle a bit more than it originally does. So I layered it with one coat of Spring Sparkles (Isadora 81). It made a really nice effect!
Inside, artificial light, just to show the sparkles

Outside, cloudy day!
As you can see, it sparkles a lot more!! Me like!!

Hope you enjoyed!
