OPI - Not Like the Movies

Yey, my first OPI-polish!! Since I got a coupon for 20% off on any product at Kicks I wanted to try out this high end (in Sweden) polish. I chose "Not like the movies" because of the duochrome and the nice color!

The formula was a bit more sheer than I imagined and I needed two coats for it to be opaque. If you are having trouble with VNL you probably need three coats. I liked the brush, it's kind of medium and fits my nails very well.The color ranges from a mossy green to a bronzy purple and has, I think, some gold shimmers in it. It sparkles nicely in the sun!

All of these photos are taken i daylight with the sun out! The first one is what is usually looks like. In the second photo you can see the variation of colors that this polish shows. In the last photo you see the nice green "base" that just as often wants to be a copper color. Well, I can not say which color it is... it's just fantastic and got me hooked for duochrome polishes!!

March Slideshow

Time for a slideshow of the manicures I wore in March!

I just realized that I've promised you an update on the albums-page.... I honestly have forgotten about it and will try to fix is as soon as possible because I now have a bit more time on my hands!!

Gallery Colours 421

Well, I had to show you the other one as well. This one is called 421 and is just like the purple one really sparkly. The same drill with the brush, it is to thin for my taste and the formula is as I said runny and hard to get where you want it. I had to do 3 coats of this as well to get the nail covered in glitter!

I have a hard time wearing red but this one felt a bit better, maybe because of the sparkles...... even so, it came off pretty quickly.

Gallery Colours 422

This is one of my newest glitter-polishes with the fantastic name 422..... It´s a low end purple glitter in a clear base.

The formula is very runny and the brush i small and I found it a bit hard to control. But well on my nails, after 3 coats, it looked really good! Sparkles like a charm and the color is gorgeous!! The pictures are taken after wearing it for a couple of days hence the tipwear, but I wanted to show you anyway.

February Slideshow

I realized that instead of doing my album slide-shows in Photobucket, I could just as well do them as a short movie..... This is the first one and it is of the February swatches and nail art. I'm going to get it up on the album page as well as one of the manicures I posted in 2010, so that you always easily can look at what I've done in the past....

The album-page will be updated as soon as I get some spare time on my hands.....

Depend 58

This is one of the polishes I won from the Depend giveaway on Facebook. It's number 58 and it is a light purple with multicolored glitter in it. I had a really hard time getting the right color photographing it and it almost always looked gray..... and this is the best of the ones I took! Anyone got any tips for me?

Three coats.... could have stopped at two....

I also made a short film to show you how the glitter looks.....I actually wanted it to go out of focus to show the glitter better!
