Flashy Copper

Yet another polish from Isadora... I have a lot of them untried by now and I really hop the sun is going to be a steady friend from now on!

This is Flashy Copper (77), a orange copper color with a golden shimmer in as well. It only took two coats and it looks gorgeous!

It really is a bit darker than in the photos, but I still wanted to keep them like this for you to see the real shimmer in the polish!

Hope you enjoyed!

Wet'n'Wild mini

This is one of the minis I got with my Secret Santa package last Christmas and I still don't know the name of it..if it has one! This is also what I used as the base for the rockstar mani last week!

It has a lovely warm copper color but probably needs at least 3 coats to be opaque. I'm wearing 2 coats in the photos because I was about to put Extra-va-vaganza on top of it!

Hope you enjoyed!

Week 30 - Water Marble Mani

Ok, you know I've tried this both once and twice and did not succeed.... this was my third attempt and this time I had better luck with what polishes worked in the water. On the other hand it was harder to get the colors to work together.... As I was trying out different combinations I came up with a couple that work well when I tried them on a displayfan-stick, but when I actually did try it on my nails it was tooo subtle and didn't really pop so I took it off again.... But, I did save the swatch-sticks to show you!

I'm really going to try getting the first one, lime and copper, on to my nails as soon as because I really liked it, and I hope that I can make it that time!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Week 29 - "Rockstar" Mani

I had no idea whatsoever what this mani was supposed to look like and Google wasn't much help... soo I had an idea, I even tried it on a display wheel but my time never seemed to be sufficient to start a mani..... As I didn't have time to do the mani I wanted I decided to just go with the most bling-bling I could, and right now I wanted to try out OPI Extra-va-vaganza from the Burlesque Collection in 2010! This is one of the polishes I got from in my Secret Santa Carly over at Laquered Lover...

It is a jam-packed glitter polish in a clear base that works really well on it's own but I chose to put i over a copper polish to get some more color into it! And for the "Rockstar" part.... isn't bling-bling and extravaganza enough? I think it is!

Blurry one just to see the sparkle!

I really love this combo and Extra-va-vaganza is beautiful!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Secret Santa!!

As of today I was sitting here painting my nails in the most amazing blue color when I realized it was time for the daily trip down to the mailbox. Said and done, I went.... but stopped in my tracks as I opened the door.... there, in the stairwell, sat a big box!
I did go down to get the rest of the mail, but just laid it aside when I came up again! As soon as I saw this box I knew it was from Secret Santa at the Polish-aholics Anonymous on Facebook. I was jumping up and down even before opening!!

As I opened the box up I found little individual packages....
These made it even more exciting to open! Inside I found polish (of course), a "hand mask" (I'll be trying that out soon) and quite a lot of candy!! Look....

I'm over the moon right now and will be trying these out sooner than soon! Now for some closeups....
Confetti in "Sprinkles on top"
Mini Wet'n'Wild (silver, copper and purple)
OPI "Extra-va-vaganza!"
A nice green shimmery cute snowman (no name)
Kisse's and Reese's
Jelly Belly
Lollipops - love these!

M&M- candy
Hand mask from Julep
And all this for just $15, that's amazing!! And yeah, I have a question for you.... does anyone have the names for the Wet'n'Wild minis?? We can't find them anywhere. The only thing I know is that the purple one may be "Sparked"....

Well, I hope you enjoyed!

No new polishes?

Well.... no entirely! It's just that the sun hides behind the clouds and my inspiration for painting and photographing is going down. I did manage to ge a couple of pictures of two new polishes the other day. I'll show you the nailwheel next week.

No 77, Flashy Copper

No 63, Frozen Heather
I also want to show you another one of my untried polishes. This is number 29 from Kubiss... you can see it on F16 in the nailwheel-section.

It is a really nice dark purple with a bit of nice shimmer in it. It was quite hard to apply, above is three coats to get it even!

Hope you enjoyed!

OPI - Not Like the Movies

Yey, my first OPI-polish!! Since I got a coupon for 20% off on any product at Kicks I wanted to try out this high end (in Sweden) polish. I chose "Not like the movies" because of the duochrome and the nice color!

The formula was a bit more sheer than I imagined and I needed two coats for it to be opaque. If you are having trouble with VNL you probably need three coats. I liked the brush, it's kind of medium and fits my nails very well. The color ranges from a mossy green to a bronzy purple and has, I think, some gold shimmers in it. It sparkles nicely in the sun!

All of these photos are taken i daylight with the sun out! The first one is what is usually looks like. In the second photo you can see the variation of colors that this polish shows. In the last photo you see the nice green "base" that just as often wants to be a copper color. Well, I can not say which color it is... it's just fantastic and got me hooked for duochrome polishes!!

And a bonus.... a clip/slideshow to see the polish in action!

Hope you enjoyed!

Depend 224

Finally I've gotten around to this one!

It´s a copper/brons-colour with a hint of gold I think and has a creme finish with the brushstrokes of a frost. It only needs one coat, but as usual I put 2 on just to cover my free edge.

I really dosn't have that much to say about this one, more than that I don't think it's the right colour for me!

Browns, golds, yellows and nudes

I love these kind of colours, but is often not bold enough to wear them, the often play as a part of a design. As usual, my collection is most build up by Depend....

After looking at my previous posts with nailwheels I decided to play around a bit with my camera and it resulted in a lot of better photos.... I hope you enjoy!

Makeup Factory 288 - Pearl

In english: I used this polish for a design that I will show you soon. I payed about 1 euro for this bottle when it was for sale a while back. Even though i didn't cost me much it is very good. A nice consisency and the coverage is OK. I manage with only one coat, but if you want på be picky, use two. Also, a nice coppercolor!
