Depend 297

This dusty pink matte shade is from the Summer Collection of 2012 and it is naturally matte.

Two coats was enough and it dried really quickly.

 In these to last photos I put on the matte top coat that also came in the same collection. It did it's job by keeping the polish matte and giving it a protective cover. I have left to try it on a glossy polish...

I didn't try a glossy top coat on this one, but it looks like that would bring out some shimmer in the polish.

Depend 303

This is the last one left for spring 2012. Also a matte finish for this light brown shade from the spring 2012 collection. It was a bit more yellow that I would have wanted and didn't match my skintone that good.... but otherwise it was nice.

Just did as with the other mattes and put shiny top coat on two finger and the shimmer that hides in the polish comes out to play a bit more!

I'm getting bored of the "just number" names of these... but well have to make it anyway! This one is a dusty matte shade of pink I would say. It dries matte and look really good....

I did put a shiny top coat on all digit this time and I really think that the shimmer I can see in the bottle shines through a bit better!

Too bad my top coat messed up some of the smooth application I did with the polish....

I'm putting all these swatches up to complete my library and to be able to show you all the nice colors! This is a purple matte polish from the Depend fall colletion 2011. It only has the number as they always do. It looks really good in two coats and is naturally matte but if you want you can put a matte top coat over it to enhance it a bit.

Now I'm also rockin' these nubbins.... need to start over again after the loong winter now that the sun finally comes out to play!

A nice cool green, also matte like the blue one. The Depend formula has developed over the two years that I have used their polishes and it works really great now!

Depend 295

A really opaque pastel blue, just up my alley! Really only needed 1 coat but I have 2 just for the heck of it. Not as matte as 298 and 296, but still matte. I have nothing to complain about this time either!

As you can see I was a bit clumsy this time and messed it up a bit.... well.... not everyone can be perfect every time!

Pastell purple is the thing for me right now! This is my absolute favorite of the once you get to see this week! Some of you may call this pink, but I think it's more purple. Came on just as good as 298 and has the same kind of nice finish.

This color works a lot better with my skin tone and I think I will wear it more this spring!

Depend 298

This is the first one of the colors of my Skittle mani. This one is an matte apricot polish from the Depend Spring Collection 2012 as said yesterday.I like the color and the finish, but it didn't go well with my skincolor.... looks a bit awkward and "invisible"!

Other than that it came on smooth and I got 2 coat on. No problem polishing and I had no issues with  drying time as I used Rapidry Spray on all of them!

Week 12 - Skittle Mani

These I've seen a lot lately and thought about how I would feel about it.... Never came 'round to an answer, but now when I tried it.... LOVE IT!! I could do this every time now! These are all colors from the Depend Spring Collection.

Depend 298, 296, 295, 294 and 301 (all matte)

 

You'll be seeing full swatches of these during the following week.... they are gorgeous! I also got to test the OPI Rapidry Spray that came in the mail this week and I think it worked fine, you just have to be a bit careful a couple of minutes afterwards and then it's dry to the touch.

Depend 262

This is actually a really nice matte black. I used this as a background for my second Corset Mani and I really like it. It has a nice shimmer in the bottle, but when painted it dries matte. If you want to put a glossy top coat on you get the shimmer back! This photo is take without top coat as I was doing a design....

January Haul

Since I'm not buying that much polish anymore I decided to put them all together at the end of the month! Sooo, here goes.... At the beginning of the month I was looking through the bargain-boxes in the stores and found these two goodies. A bright, almost neon, pink and a shimmering purple!

The same day I also found the striper polishes from Depend in new colors. I grabbed the pink and blue one!

Now at the end of the month Depend came out with their Spring Collection and I just had to have it!

293, 294, 295, 296 (all matte)

292, 299, 300 (cremes) and 304 (matte top coat)

298, 301, 302, 303 (all matte as well)

These purchases did have a bad effect on quantity of untried polishes.... This is the amount of polishes (plus some) that are untried.....

I'm pleased that I decided to do the 52 week challenge and choose the colors from this fan.... hopefully I can decrease the amount of polishes on here! Tell me if you are interested in seeing swatches of any of these and I'll see what I can do.
