Week 7 - "Valentine's day" Mani

I actually painted this background on Wednesday, the stripes on Friday and the stamps yesterday... The original thought was to also have some white stamping, but after I managed all 10 in a row I left it and I like it. The base is Depend 201 that  showed you the last post. Then I made the stripes with an almost neon pink 2-way pen (with shimmer in it) and the stamp is made in Depend 5 and Konad imageplate m59.

I alternated the stripes to get something happening and it looked kind of funny without the stamping. I wonder what the girl in my beauty supply store thought today when she helped me... oh well... it looks nice now!!!

I'm really happy to be able to share this with you all!

This morning didn't start as well as I wanted.... my computer went on a strike! Lucky for me my hubbie worked his magic computer finger and managed to somehow get it up and running again, THANX!

Sooo, I now present to you the mani I made yesterday and that I'm wearing tonight. I used Isadroa Black Galaxy as a base, took Depend 223 (Silver metallic) and stamped the three snowflakes I could find on my BM (BM14) and Konad (m59) plates. The positioning is random. For ones it went smooth and I'm quite pleased! The original post on Black Galaxy is here....

The last clip is for you to see how Black Galaxy glitters in the sun! This is hard to capture just with normal inside lighting (despite daylight bulbs) and I was lucky enough that the sun payed a visit today!

Helloween!

For all of you who do celebrate All Hallow's Eve I decided to do a mani.... The bases are Depend 223 (silver) and 124 (orange). I used BM 13 for the web and spider and BM 222 for the pumpkin. I stamped the Jack O'Lanterns with the orange polish and the web with the silver polish. The spider is in Konad Special Polish.


The stamping went pretty well this time, only one nail had to be redone so I'm happy.

Storage idea

I've been pondering about a good way to store my Konad Imageplates.... looking at other bloggers ideas and also on YouTube. This pondering has been going on for, well, a couple of weeks and now I think I found it.... thanx to OUGT12 that made a video about this....

Here is my version.... I went to our local book/craftsstore and got a icehockey/soccercard holder, put a piece of shelfliner inside the pouch so that the imageplate would not slip and slide as much. Now I only need to wait for the two Bundle Monster Image Plate Sets I ordered together with Linda and I also need to get a binder to put them in.

Color of the month

My first thought was blue..... but then I thought that for me blue is ordinary. Then I looked through the archives for July and found that it is permeated by blue! It really is my favorite color and  half of the Depend Summer Collection was blue. I've pushed the nailwheel until tomorrow and be sure to come back a bit later for an extra post today!!

Golden butterflies

Could not resist the Konad....

This time I decided I'll have some butterflies and everything went OK. The only sad thing is that there was no way of turning the butterflies..... but it looks ok anyway. The image is from Konad Imageplate m20 with Golden Breeze (86 Isadora) as a base and Konad special polish in black.

Green Lines

Oh, well, not the best name but informative....

I decided to continue on my Konad high. This is from the m65 image plate done on the Isadora Glamour White with green Konad special polish. This time I messed up a couple of times and as you can see the top coat smeared a bit. I also tried to clean my nails right away but the green was hard to get off..... And yes, I had a little accident with the ring finger nail.... I just had to cut it because my nailglue had dried up and my hubbie didn't have and superglue at home.....

Circling Bugatti

I continued on the mani I showed you yesterday and decided to Konad it. This is the first Konad I've done for ages!! I prepared myself well, with imageplate m65, paper, cotton pads, pure acetone, polish remover, stamper, Konad special polish and an old plastic card as a scraper.....

Since I almost always mess up doing Konad, I took it really slow this time, taking time between nail to clean up all the gear and around my nails. Also filing a bit on the stamper between every other stamp. I only messed up one nail and it came off without messing up the base!

As you can see, the top coat messed up my middle finger....but it'll have to work anyways!

Flower Power

As we were having dinner with friend on the theme "Come dine with me" I had to somehow magically pull an outfit out of my existing wardrobe as I don't have enough money to go shopping for fun! It resulted in a brown and gold dress that I haven't worn for a loooong time and.... as a polish-junkie I had to have nails to match....

This is what I came up with:

I've used Depend 208 as a background. It's a really nice dark brown colour from the Fall/Winter collection 2010. On top I did Konad with imageplate m64 (the flower pattern) and Depend 224 from their latest Spring Collection and then I added brown/gold rhinestones in the middle of whatever flower I could.... I just put the pattern randomly and so was the rhinestones!

The necklaces in the first picture was also a part of my outfit! And... if you're interested, the food and the company was great!

Colour of the month

I really must say that I've glanced too many times over at my glitter polishes and thought that i really like each and every one of them! So therefore, this month will not be a specific color, just anything that sparkles!!!

Summer flower

I wanted a really summery fun look that yet does'n show too much and came up with this....

I got 2 coats of Depend 220 as a base. Then I added the flower from Konad Imageplate number m20 with white Konad Special Polish. In the middle of each flower I put a pink 1 mm rhinestone from Konad. Since the pink base is shimmery it glitters a bit and I'm really pleased how it turned out although my Konading skills are not the best!

This one I made for my brother-in-laws 40th birthday-party last weekend.....

As you all know I bought some new Konad Imageplates a while ago so I wanted to do a design with them. I painted my nails with Isadora Tip White except for the accent nails that I painted with Yves Rocher Noir Intense to get som life in the manicure. The Konading is done with Konad Imageplate m65 and Konad Special Polish in black and on the accent nails white.

Ok, so I surprised my stepdaughter with the Konad Imageplate S7 and she really wanted to try it....

She got to pick out two colours that would match their new uniforms and she found two that worked perfectly with Konad. We chose to do to accentnails and thumbs for this one.....

As the blue base we used Depend 171, and as stampingpolish we used a silver, Depend 223. The stamping was really hard this time and took forever to do and I really hope that we can make it a bit better for the acctual competitionday!

When I was surfing around other blog I found a design that I really loved. On top of that I realized I had the material to almost copy it. THIS is the original design by My Simple Little Pleasures.... and below you can see mine. Thanx for the inspiration Colette!

I've used China Glaze Misteltoe Kisses as base, wore for a day and the stamped with black konad special polish and konad imageplate m64. I loved it and wore it until it started to chip!!

From my latest nailthings-purchase this one grew.... I wanted to have something nice yet a bit playful when me and my best friend went to IKEA last weekend. I really wanted to buy myself a Helmer, but it'll have be another time since we just bought new officechairs.

On to the konadicure! I made a nice plain white french tip to start out with and then I applied a flower from Konad Imageplate m20 in neon pink (Depend 34). I also added some of my new 1,5 mm light pink rhinestones in the flowers. The neon pink pops out a bit better in real life and is really cute. I put the design differently on each nail just to get a bit of life to it!

This looked really good when I was finished at night. It had completely dried with the topcoat. As you can see, there is some bubbles in the design that appeard overnight and I really think that I need to change my topcoat! I'll show you anyway, since it is the design that matters!

Mini Haul!

Ok, time for a mini haul again!

This time me and my friend bought some stuffand shared the shipping fee.... We bought this from a Swedish site called Välaboden and I don't have a link for it, because it just won't work on my computer!

Well, I choose to upgrade my Konad-collection since I just had 3 imageplates and one is for christmas and not really useful any other time of year! These are the plates I bought....

The S7 got to come just because my youngest stepdaughter is about to have her first Cheerleading competition and I thought it would be fun for her to have the nails to match!

I also bought the above rhinestones, also from Konad. They are round and 1,5 mm across and I got 12 different colours. I got these just because I only had clear ones that are 1,75 mm and I really think they are too big, these are just perfect!

Blue band

I wanted to fix up the yellow mani that I had on and tried doing Konad with black special polish. I had BIG trouble this time and abandoned the look and want for this one instead. I've hesitate to post this mani just because I don't like it but here goes....

The base is Depend 210 and the konad is made with Isadora Petrol Posh (703) and Konad imageplate m64. The picture is taken outside in daylight after a few ours outside helping them stack wood for the remaining winter/spring, hense the bad dried cuticles!!

Fick ordning på datorn i tid och kände mig riktigt tjejig och ville ha något rosa, men också något till julen.... och det kom ur huvudet! Äntligen är min kreativitet på väg tillbaka!! Är inte nöjd med detta, bagrundslacket var nästan slut och svårt att måla med och glittret ovanpå vill inte visa sig på bild.... Men ändå, säg hej till den krokiga snögubben!

I got my computer running in time and I felt really girly and wanted somethink pink, but also something for the holidays.... and this came out of my head! Finally, my vreativity is coming back to me!! I'm not satisfied with this. The background colour was almost out and hard to paint with and the shimmer on top just won't show in the pictures.... Anyway, say hello to crocked snowman!

Bel Air Blue

Ännu en från arkivet eftersom jag bara har MNY 449 på naglarna! Den här manikyren ordnade min kompis Linda till mig när hon först köpte sina Konad Stamping-produkter för ett tag sedan.

In english: Yet another one from the archives because I'm wearing MNY 449! I asked my friend for this manicure when she had just bought her Konad Stamping-kit a while back.

Opposite friends

Eftersom jag och min kompis var på bio igår kväll och såg Harry Potter och Dödsrelikerna del 1 ville jag ha naglar som matchade. Jag kom på en design fom funkade, men hade inte rätt färger. Dessutom sabbade jag det flera gånger om! Det slutade med detta istället... På bilderna syns att jag hade bråttom och att mitt överlack är helt kass!

In english: Since me and my friend went to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 yesterday night, I wanted to have a mani that matched. I came up with a nice design, but did not have the colors to match. Also, I messed it up time and time again! I ended up with this instead.... As you can se in the pictures, I was in a hurry and have a really crappy topcoat!
