Ebony Hates Chris

A really black creme from Wet'n'Wild that is perfect for layering opalescent polishes on!

Before I've told you that the brushes in these bottles are kind of unpredictable, some are wonky and some are just ok. This one is ok, it is round and on the larger side, but it works. The polish is somewhat sheer, but it compensates with evening out if you let it dry completely between coats.

As dark as it can be!

Buffy the Violet Slayer

The same kind of polish as "Saved by the blue" but this time Purple/Violet!

Can't complain really.... the brush was OK and two coats enough!

SaGreena the Teenage Witch

Foresty green polish from Wet'n'Wild.

This time the brush was ok, but the formula was way to runny. Hard to get a decent look, but two coat was enough.

At least it looked good in the end, but you'll need patience with this brand!

Saved by a millionaire?

Throwing in a double because I really liked this combo!

Both these are from Wet'n'Wild and I'm starting off with "Saved by the blue". A nice vibrant blue metallic polish that I just love!

As I already hade a nice base on, I put "Blue wants to be a millionaire" on top and it was a match made in heaven! It's ment to be a scattered holo and I had a hard time catching it in the photos, so I'll throw in a little video as well.... It glistens in a multitude of colors!

I hope that you can see the multicolored sparkles in this polish, it's a lot more sparkly in real life!

Gray's Anatomy

This is one of my first duo-chrome polishes. It's by Wet'n'Wild and is called Gray's Anatomy (237C) like the series and it shifts from gray to purple and green. I didn't do a very good job taking the photos, I only managed to get the purple look this time....

In the third photo you can se a hint of the green in the polish :)

Teal of Fortune

A wonderful blue polish!

I bought this one and a few other a long time ago and I have swatched them, but never came 'round to trying the on for real. One of the things that also made me a bit hesitant about this one is the brush.
 It's really big and "fluffy" and it was really hard to paint with it. As you can see in some of the photos I did mess up on a couple of occations and didn't quite have the time to correct it before taking the photos....

At the top you can see what the brush looks like. The next two photos are taken with a cloudy sky on our way to a birthdayparty and the last two photos are taken the day after in direct sunlight. I actually think that the polish has a green tint to it in real life, but it was really hard to get that on camera.

About the formula I used two coats and as you can see I got VNL. It's not that bad, but I did consider a third one. The brush made the polish go on uneven, but the formula made up for that and it does look really good when i dries!

Silver foil

Putting in another wild card to the mix.... This is a mini from Wet'n'Wild I got in December of 2011 with the Secret Santa at PAA. I still don't know the name of it, so if anyone knows, please let me know! It acts as a silver foil and is really pretty in the sun!!

This one actually needed 3 coats to look like this. Maybe a fourth one could be beneficial, try if you like! It was a bit hard to apply due to all the reflection but the formula was ok.

Wet'n'Wild mini

This is one of the minis I got with my Secret Santa package last Christmas and I still don't know the name of it..if it has one! This is also what I used as the base for the rockstar mani last week!

It has a lovely warm copper color but probably needs at least 3 coats to be opaque. I'm wearing 2 coats in the photos because I was about to put Extra-va-vaganza on top of it!

Week 21 - Fruit manicure

I had a hard  time coming up with something for this one and went out on You Tube. There I found THIS and made my own version.

This is a funky French (yes, I like French nails) with a lemon twist!! I alternated green (Wet'n'Wild SaGreena the Teenage Witch) and yellow (KleanColor Neon Yellow) on my tips and filled in the whole nail for accent on my ring fingers. Then I used acrylic paints to make the details and I really wanted to go over it with a nice fine glitter.... I look through all my display fans and found nothing.... until I checked one last time and found Claudia Glistening Snow just sitting there!! Perfect!! The only thing now is to practice more with my right hand....

As you can see i got some bed marks also.... grrrr!

March polish haul!

As I was thinking back on this months polish purchases I thought it was a lot.... but as I started to pull them all out it's not that bad at all! I counted 12 and one on the way home! Here they are....

I'm still trying to find the time to paint my nails more often, but between work and housework it's hard to get any free time.... I'll do my best!

Week 13 - Ruffian Manicure

I know this is a bit late, but this is a manicure I had to google and the ones I found was either red or black. Because of that I wanted to do mine in other colors and I chose my favourite - blue! Both colors are Wet'n'Wild, the base is a mini in silver and the other one is Fastdry Teal of Fortune!

I made this on freehand it worked quite well!

This is my "Make it sparkle"

It is the mini Wet'n'Wild I got in my Secret Santa-package. I believe it's called Sparked, but there's no label or name on the bottle so if you know the name, please let me know! I was actually a bit disappointed by this because I hade to use 3 coats and you can still see the nails through it. This will look nice though if you layer it on top of another polish, maybe a purple or black one.

Secret Santa!!

As of today I was sitting here painting my nails in the most amazing blue color when I realized it was time for the daily trip down to the mailbox. Said and done, I went.... but stopped in my tracks as I opened the door.... there, in the stairwell, sat a big box!

I did go down to get the rest of the mail, but just laid it aside when I came up again! As soon as I saw this box I knew it was from Secret Santa at the Polish-aholics Anonymous on Facebook. I was jumping up and down even before opening!!

As I opened the box up I found little individual packages....

These made it even more exciting to open! Inside I found polish (of course), a "hand mask" (I'll be trying that out soon) and quite a lot of candy!! Look....

I'm over the moon right now and will be trying these out sooner than soon! Now for some closeups....
